Upon the recommendation of a friend, I decided to buy Loréal True Match Minerals powder. I had heard from my friend that it was like a powder, foundation and concealer combined. Unfortunately, my view greatly differs from that of my friend.

For The Love of Books - Intro
Hi guys sorry I have been somewhat absent this past month. Been taking a time out to recover (yes I am being a tad overdramatic) from exams. However, I am now back!

Confessions of a Coffee-holic: Starbucks Coffee part 1
I am someone who adores caffeine and anything caffeine related, especially coffee. I am a huge fan of Starbucks in particular. I don't think I'd be able to cope with university if there wasn't a local Starbucks. I have set myself the task of trying all the delicious coffees Starbucks has to offer and rating them accordingly. To be completely honest, for a beverage which is essentially hot water and coffee granules, Starbucks are overpriced but the flavours are sensational. It depends whether you are a massive fan of coffee or not. The following is the list of Starbucks coffees:
Hazelnut Macchiato
Vanilla Macchiato
Salted Caramel Mocha
Vanilla Spice Latte
Caffe Americano
Flat White

The Chronicles of a Food Snob: Mango and Prawns
I am someone who usually turns their nose up at peculiar looking foods. This aversion has meant that I am not adventurous when it comes to food. My friend has set me a task to try all foods that I have successfully avoided. Below is my list (apologies for my spelling):
As you can see, I have lived a sheltered life.

Blogilates
My friend Emily and I are currently on a mission to lose weight (it is so wonderful having someone to share your experience with). Emily has been getting into Blogilates (http://www.blogilates.com/) and I am have been swayed into trying the workouts. Cassey Ho (who is incredibly fit) runs the website and all the videos etc.
TerriAnn 123 Diet - Day 4 and counting...
Good evening :) I am currently dieting (who isn't?) and wanted to share.
A couple of weeks ago I was surfing Facebook instead of writing my assignment - as all students do - and came across an ad for TerriAnn 123 Diet. Being someone who is constantly on the lookout for new diets, I liked the page and started reading the posts,

Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara vs Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Review
I splurged at Boots the other day (again... goodbye student loan) and bought Maybelline's Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara for £7.99. This is by far the best mascara I have ever bought. It will differ between people but, when I buy mascara, I am looking for a product to elongate my lashes and create a widening effect for the framework of my eyes.

Soap And Glory Archery Review
I recently purchased Soap and Glory's Archery in Brownie Points and have to say that the combination of the pencil and pen works well in creating natural looking brows. The pen allows you to produced the 'flick' at the end of the eyebrow, giving it the definition every girl desires. I would recommend this product for the quality and price (I bought it at Boots for only £10.00 and one month later there is tonnes left).

2014 Oscar Nominations & Predictions
Sourced |
We are in the midst of the awards season! That means lots of glamorous shots of talented actors and many predictions. There are many worthy candidates in all categories thus making it hard to predict the winners. The Oscars will be aired on 2nd March 2014; if you are a UK resident, like me, you can watch the red carpet live on Sky Movies Oscars (a new Sky channel made especially for the awards ceremony) and Sky Living from 11:30pm to 1:30am. The awards ceremony will only be available on British TV on Sky Movies Oscars from 1:30am till 4:00am. Unfortunately, being a student, my halls does not fund Sky so I shall be catching up on the results the following morning.
Taylor Swift's Red Tour Review
Welcome to my blog! I'd like to start off with...
Last week on Tuesday 4th February, I went to the O2 Arena in London to see Taylor Swift perform her Red Tour. Most of the songs off her setlist are, predictably, from her Red album but the others are her well known hits such as Love Story. Unfortunately, due to a rubbish phone battery (thank you iPhone -_-) I was unable to capture any photos. So you'll have to look at these that have been taken professionally.
